I had a discussion with my best friend today. Well it wasnt really a discussion it was me telling her to get over what had happen and move on with her life. My friend broke up with her first love. I understand that breaking up with your first love is hard to do because eventually every one will go through it unless you are one of the lucky ones.
My friend was telling me that her life was over! That she had no reason to live because her life partner was gone for good. As a friend, i told her that everything would be just fine. I told her that she wasnt the only person in the world to go through something like that. But she refused to listen to me and i listened to her as she talked.....
This bothered me alot. I know that it takes time and it hurts to break up with someone you really love but your life in not over because of it. Women need to realize that there are plenty of fish in the sea. That just because one relationship does not work out, doesnt mean that others will not either. Do not let one guy, sorry, one bad break up ruin your life. Because believe me, most guys are not crying over you. They want us to cry over them because it will make them feel good about themselves. Us women especially need to be strong and not let one guy put your life at a stop because life is short and we need to have as much fun as possible.

i agree with both of you on this one. It is really hard to break up with your first love especially if you saw yourself being with them forever. and to go from talking to someone everyday to not talking to them at all is hard, and there is always going to be apart of you that is with that person. I think it is better if you get over the person so you can move on with your life and do bigger and better things. having fun is what life is all about
I agree with you star. It is hard to break up with your first love. I went through it and it was so tough. I think people really underestimate themselves. You have to be strong for yourself and just believe with time things will get better. They have to right? I know people that have been with their first loves for so long, eventhough its obvious to the world they shouldnt be togther, they still are!I guess every person is different but i would get frustrated too if my friend said their life was over.She is probably young and has more then enough time to start another relationship. Tell her things can only get better from here!

Especally, "most of guys don't cry over you." I wish your friend will get over this situation and find a better partner.I'm pretty sure that it is gonna take some time for her to get it over and move on. In this situation,friends can be really helpful.
